Five on slavery charges

FIVE people - including two from Failsworth - have been charged after a woman was trafficked into he UK to be “sold” into a sham marriage.
All five have been charged with conspiracy to hold another person in slavery and conspiracy to arrange entry to the UK of a person for exploitation.
Malik Ramzan (27), of Wesley Street, Failsworth, Anna Cicakova (34) of Wesley Street, Failsworth, Hateji Yakuyb (57), of Ashfield Road, Rochdale, Mohammed Ali (40) of Ashfield Road, Rochdale, and Rehman Ghani (39) of St Heliers Drive, Cheetam Hill were charged yesterday.
All have been remanded in custody to appear before Rochdale and Bury Magistrates Court today (14).
Three men were dealt with by Immigration for overstaying their visas.
